Mango Smoothie

Looking for a yummy thirst quencher this summer? Making smoothies can be quick and fun way to enjoy a nutritious snack.

6 raw almonds (or cashews)
1 cup mango, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup ice (or try making ice cubes from coconut water)
1 cup soymilk
1/2 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon peanut butter or almond butter
1/8 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of cardamom, cinnamon, and/or nutmeg (to desired taste)

Add ingredients into blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Try different variations with your favorite fruits.

Cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg can be energizing and warming for the body.  You can even try adding a bit of cayenne pepper for more of a zing!
